Chris Hubbard played last season with the Titans

With most NFL rookie minicamps in progress or completed, a return of activity in NFL free agency has begun. After the initial waves of free agency, teams spent a lot of time preparing for the NFL draft. Now that drafted and undrafted free agents have had a chance to show teams what they look like on the field, a few veterans have found homes in the past week.

One is former Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Chris Hubbard.

Hubbard spent five seasons with the Browns including 35 starts in 46 games. While he never solidified himself as a starter, Hubbard’s openness about mental health in an exclusive interview with DBN along with his role as a locker-room leader has shown his character.

After leaving Cleveland during free agency in 2023, Hubbard found a home with the Tennessee Titans where he played in nine games.

Hubbard is now reportedly joining the San Francisco 49ers:

Given their highly paid players and Brock Purdy about to cash in, many are saying that the 49ers are in a “Last Dance” type year. Having a solid backup who is a great presence in the locker room like Hubbard is a perfect fit for that.
