The second-year defensive end is ready to take a big leap forward.

Myles Murphy was supposed to take time to get acclimated to the NFL.

He was seen as a prospect with great potential but skills that would take time to refine at the professional level.

Last year we saw flashes, and he made some huge plays for the Cincinnati Bengals later in the season.

With a better start to the offseason this year, he could became a factor from Week 1.

Murphy has looked really good at practice recently, and Dan Hoard, the Bengals’ play-by-play announcer, has taken notice.

The big defensive end out of Clemson attributes this success to having an entire offseason to dedicate to getting in football condition.

If he can step up and give the Bengals another pass rusher off the edge across from Trey Hendrickson, then watch out.
