As the Chicago Bears gear up their Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions, there will once again be rotating weekly captains for each game, something head coach Matt Nagy established back in 2018.

There will be one captain from each phase — offense, defense and special teams — which will give different players an opportunity to represent their squad throughout the year.

For their Week 4 game against the Lions, the team captains will be outside linebacker Robert Quinn, wide receiver Allen Robinson and linebacker/special teams ace Christian Jones.

Quinn has gotten off to a solid start through three games, where he leads the team with 3.5 sacks. He’s had at least 0.5 sack in every game this season, and the Bears are going to need Quinn and Khalil Mack to get after Jared Goff.

Make no mistake about it, Robinson remains the team’s most important offensive player despite not getting a chance to shine early. Whether it’s Andy Dalton or Justin Fields, the Bears need to stretch the field and get Robinson involved.

The Bears special teams have been solid so far this season, and if Chicago is going to win, they need to be solid in all phases, including special teams, where Jones will be a big factor.
