The Jets were pummeled by Pats while the Bengals destroyed the now 5-2 Ravens.

The Cincinnati Bengals closed as touchdown underdogs in Week 7 on the road vs. the Baltimore Ravens, but we saw how that went.

Right from the start, it was evident the Bengals had an edge about their play, as Joe Burrow had a career-high 416 passing yards, the defense had five sacks, and Ja’Marr Chase went for a career-high 201 receiving yards. Cincinnati ended up winning by 24 points, absolutely blowing out the Ravens on on their home turf.

The same cannot be said of the New York Jets, who went to New England and were absolutely obliterated. The Jets were outscored by 41, losing the first and fourth quarter by a combined 34-0.

The Jets and Bengals will face off in Week 8 with the Bengals at 5-2 and the Jets now 1-5. Their sole win came against the Titans, a game in which Tennessee was without receivers Julio Jones and A.J. Brown.

That said, the Bengals have opened as 8.5-point favorites, per DraftKings. That’s a solid one, and one that might shoot up.

However, as we see on a near-weekly basis, big spreads don’t always equal wins.

The total is currently set at 44 which is also interesting considering the Jets gave up over 50 to New England and the Bengals put up 41 on the Ravens. Expect some movement in both lines within the next several days.
