The Baltimore Ravens are currently projected to have 10 picks in the 2022 NFL draft. They have plenty of needs to fill, but the team has also shown a knack for drafting the best player available if they see immense talent.

Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report put together one surprise prospect that each team could target in the upcoming draft, and for Baltimore he chose edge rusher David Ojabo out of the University of Michigan. When explaining his choice, Sobleski mentioned how the offensive line is a bigger need for the team.

“The offensive line will almost certainly be the Baltimore Ravens’ top offseason priority. General manager Eric DeCosta won’t force his hand, though.”

Sobleski also talked about some of the talent that the Ravens already have at the position, including one of Ojabo’s former high school teammates.

“Despite reinvesting in Tyus Bowser and sinking a first-round pick into Odafe Oweh, who blossomed into a disruptive force as a rookie, an opportunity to add more to the team’s pressure packages shouldn’t be overlooked, especially in the AFC when the Ravens must go through Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert…Michigan’s David Ojabo is a Nigerian immigrant with immense potential after joining the game later in life. In fact, he and Oweh went to the same high school. They could reunite while meeting at the quarterback each weekend.”

Ojabo stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs around 250 pounds. He had a breakout 2021 season for the Wolverines, accumulating 35 total tackles, 11 sacks and five forced fumbles. He has a plethora of raw tools, and his potential is off of the charts. As he gains more football experience he will only get better, and if Baltimore is able to select him at No. 14, him and Odafe Oweh could become one of the best young pass rushing duos in the league.
