The Indianapolis Colts today announced they have agreed to contract extensions with General Manager Chris Ballard and Head Coach Frank Reich which will take them through 2026.

Chris Ballard was hired as the Colts General Manager in January of 2017 and Head Coach Frank Reich was hired as the Head Coach in February of 2018. Since the two have been together the team has a record of 28-20 and has made the play-offs twice in three seasons.

Ballard is widely regarded as one of the best General Manager’s in the league and has been fundamental in adding talent through the NFL draft selecting All Pro Linebacker Darius Leonard and All Pro Offensive Guard Quenton Nelson who headline a long list of key players.

Reich is widely regarded as one of the best offensive minds and play callers in the league and has shown great leadership during times of adversity. Reich led Colts teams have made the play-offs twice in the last three years and have been ranked 10th, 19th and 12th in total DVOA. Reich has had a different Quarterback every year and that trend will continue this year with new Quarterback Carson Wentz.

Colts Owner and CEO Jim Irsay said “In Chris Ballard and Frank Reich, we have as great a general manager – head coach combination as there is in the NFL, and I can’t tell you how proud I am to have them leading our franchise. I truly believe this football team is on the doorstep of great things, and that’s because of the culture both have cultivated in their time with the Horseshoe. Whether we are marching toward the playoffs or facing adversity, whether we are building our roster or making a difference in the community, we have the ideal leaders in Chris and Frank.”
