Still no severe injuries, so that’s a plus.

On Sunday, the Chargers held their 2021 Fan Fest and treated the some 30,000 fans in attendance to their first scrimmage inside of SoFi Stadium of training camp. For the most part, the Bolts came out fairly unscathed when it came to serious injuries, but there were still some notable cuts and bruises among the starters.

Linebacker Kenneth Murray sat out the final portions of the scrimmage with an apparent ankle injury. He was checked out by trainers and eventually walked around the sideline before taking a seat on the bench for the remainder of the day.

Fast-forward to today and it looks like the coaching staff is taking a precautionary path with Murray who will not practice today, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. Antother notable name that won’t be on the field for today’s practice is rookie wideout Josh Palmer. The reason behind his absence is still unknown.

In other, more positive news from this morning, rookie safety Mark Webb and wide receiver Tyron Johnson are returning to practice today after missing the last handful of sessions. Webb was turning heads early on in camp and the same can certainly be said for T-Billy who at one point seemed to be making highlight plays on a daily basis.

Lastly, wide receiver John Hurst was activated today off of the PUP list, according to Jeff Miller of the L.A. Times. Hurst figures to compete for a role on special teams this season. He was signed by the Chargers last season following a stint with the Bucs.
