The Chicago Bears have made a couple roster moves to ready themselves for the Packers on Sunday.

The Chicago Bears have flexed offensive lineman Dieter Eiselen and running back Artavis Pierce to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Eiselen is a standard practice squad flex and Pierce is a COVID-19 replacement addition.

Eiselen can play all three interior positions for the Bears, and he’ll join reserves Lachavious Simmons and Alex Bars in backing up starters Jason Peters (LT), Cody Whitehair (LG), Sam Mustipher (C), James Daniels (RG), and Elijah Wilkinson (RT). The Bears currently have three offensive tackles on injured reserve in rookies Larry Borom and Teven Jenkins, and veteran Germain Ifedi.

NFL rules dictate that if you have 8 offensive lineman active for a game then you can dress 48 players, but if you have 7 active offensive linemen then you can only dress 47 on game day.

Pierce’s ascension was necessitated when the Bears placed Damien Williams on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and he’ll join a running back group of rookie Khalil Herbert and Ryan Nall. David Montgomery is still on injured reserve, and Tarik Cohen is still on the PUP list.

The Bears didn’t make any announcements regarding the 10 players listed as questionable on this week’s injury report, which could be a good sign all are trending towards being able to play tomorrow. The inactive list is due 90 minutes before the Noon kickoff, so we’ll find out for sure then.
