Our preview podcast is officially BACK!

The Detroit Lions officially open up the Dan Campbell era on Friday night with their preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills. Not will it only be our first chance to see the Lions in a competitive setting in eight months, but there will also be fans in attendance!

When a roster is 90 players deep, the storylines are just about endless. So to help narrow our focus, our preview podcast, First Byte, broke down the things we’re watching for on Friday night. While we would normally have a guest on to help us preview the Lions’ opponent during our podcast, because the Lions are not gameplanning this week, the opponent is kind of irrelevant.

So, instead, we go position by position and talk about which players have the most to gain on Friday night, what’s at stake, and what the Lions should be trying to accomplish at each position. What are we hoping to see from the first-team offense? What are we expecting to see from Aaron Glenn and the defense?

Myself and Ryan Mathews break it all down on the first official First Byte of the season.
