Which Lions player are you hoping makes a huge first impression in the preseason?

It’s hard to believe after the offseason we’ve had that we’re just a few days from Detroit Lions football. It’s been one of the most momentous offseason in team history, and the energy surrounding this franchise is palpable. The Dan Campbell era is about to face its first real challenge, and while the stakes may be relatively small, it’s hard not to get exaggeratedly excited about Friday’s preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.

Not only with the preseason opener start the dawn of a new era, but it will also be our opportunity to see several players in a Lions uniform for the first time in a competitive setting. The Lions’ 2021 draft class, Jared Goff, Jamaal Williams, basically the entire WR corps, and several other players will make their Detroit debut on Friday night.

You’ve relied on camp reports for the past two weeks, but this time you’ll be able to provide your own analysis. So today’s Question of the Day is:

Which Lions player do you want to see ball out on Friday night against the Bills?

My answer: Jared Goff is probably number one on my list. I haven’t been particularly impressed with him thus far in camp, and I’d love to see him look a little more efficient and aggressive against a solid Bills defense. I know neither team will be game-planning, but it’ll still be a confidence booster both for Goff and myself.

Additionally, I’m going to get incredibly hyped if Jeff Okudah or Tracy Walker makes a big play on defense. Both players have a lot more confidence, and many believe they’ll take a big step this year simply due to a much better coaching staff. Maybe that’s true, maybe it isn’t. But if they can show early signs of doing it in a game, it’ll be a heck of a positive sign.

Who are you hoping to see dominate on Friday?
