Plus: some bad news for the Chiefs.

The Philadelphia Eagles activated Jack Driscoll and Josiah Scott from injured reserve to the 53-man roster, according to an official announcement from the team.

Driscoll and Scott were eligible to return to practice this week after being placed on IR leading up to the Eagles’ Week 1 game. Driscoll suffered a pectoral strain while Scott had a hamstring injury from Philly’s final preseason game.

Driscoll’s activation is especially significant because the Eagles might actually put him in the starting lineup. The 2020 fourth-round pick could conceivably play at right guard with Landon Dickerson moving to left guard. Or maybe the Eagles will keep Dickerson at right guard and have Nate Herbig start at left guard with Driscoll serving as offensive line depth.

As for Scott, he figures to be the top backup to Avonte Maddox in the slot. Scott also figures to see some playing time on special teams.

The Eagles didn’t need to free up roster spots for these activations because they had two openings after placing Isaac Seumalo and K’Von Wallace on IR earlier this week.

In other news, the Kansas City Chiefs downgraded starting edge rusher Frank Clark and starting cornerback Charvarius Ward to OUT. They were previously listed questionable on the final injury report. Clark being out is another break for Andre Dillard. Ward being out means the Chiefs are thin at corner. The Eagles’ offense doesn’t have great reason to struggle against a KC defense that allowed the most points through the first three games.
