The Atlanta Falcons are expected to sign free-agent fullback Clint Ratkovich to the practice squad, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Ratkovich, a standout at Northern Illinois, was considered one of the draft’s top fullback prospects before suffering an ACL injury during a workout with the Packers.

In college, Ratkovich did a little bit of everything. He rushed for 461 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2021, while adding 124 receiving yards. Ratkovich has experience at running back, fullback, slot receiver and kick returner.

Falcons head coach Arthur Smith has resurrected the running game in Atlanta and Ratkovich could be a replacement for Keith Smith down the line. The team has yet to confirm the signing, so check back for an official announcement.
