Once those are assigned officially, Giants will have 11 selections

The New York Giants are projected to get a pair of compensatory picks in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. Over The Cap’s Nick Korte is projecting that the Giants will receive comp picks in the sixth and seventh rounds.

Per Korte’s projection, the Giants will receive a sixth-round pick for the loss of edge defender Lorenzo Carter, who signed with the Atlanta Falcons. They will receive a seventh-round pick for losing cornerback Keion Crossen, who spent just one year with the Giants before signing with the Miami Dolphins.

The Giants also lost tight end Evan Engram and defensive tackle Austin Johnson in free agency a year ago. Per Korte’s charting, the signing of offensive lineman Mark Glowinski cancelled the comp pick the Giants could have gotten for Engram, and signing backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor cancelled the comp pick Johnson’s loss could have provided.

The Giants currently have nine picks — Nos. 25, 58, 90, 101, 128, 161, 208, 218 and 242. They will have 11 picks once compensatory picks become official.
