Giants visit Kansas City, play in national spotlight, in Week 8

Here is a small dose of reality for the New York Giants and their fans on a happy Monday following a 25-3 victory over the Carolina Panthers. DraftKings Sportsbook has the Giants opening as heavy underdogs next Monday on the road vs. the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Sunday provided the Giants with a feel-good blowout victory. They are, though, still just 2-5 and there is no guarantee play makers like Saquon Barkley, Kadarius Toney, Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard will be back in the lineup for the Week 8 game at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs have problems of their own.

Kansas City is a disappointing 3-4. They were blown out, 27-3, on Sunday by the Tennessee Titans. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes left the game to be checked for a concussion. He cleared the concussion test, but did not return.

The Chiefs are struggling on defense, 27th in the league in points allowed.
