You can never have too much of a good thing.

Your Houston Texans currently have nine linebackers on the roster, and five more stashed away on the defensive line. 14 must be where Nick Caserio said, “wW have enough!”

With only seven running backs on the roster, the Texans’ rookie general manager picked up the phone and made a call to another rock-toter, Darius Jackson.

The former Dallas Cowboy turned Cleveland Brown turned Dallas Cowboy turned Green Bay Packer turned Dallas Cowboy turned Indianapolis Colt turned Tampa Bay Buccaneer turned Indianapolis Colt turned Las Vegas Raider has signed or been waived 33 times since he entered the NFL in May of 2016. His frequent flyer account must be fat.

He’s started four games during that span, carrying the ball 6 times for 16 yards, a whopping 2.7 yards per carry average, with a longest run of 4 yards.

It has been entirely too long since Nick Caserio has made a head-scratching move, so it was due. While it’s great to see a guy like Jackson scratch and claw to keep his NFL dreams alive, it’s equally hard to imagine he’ll make the final 53.

Welcome to H-Town, Darius. Don’t unpack just yet. The Turk is coming soon.
