Oddsmakers like the Jaguars’ chances in Week 12 against the Texans.
The Jacksonville Jaguars open as 1.5-point favorites as they hit the road again and head to Texas to take on the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in another AFC South battle, this time it could have high stakes in who sits at the top of the division. Currently the Jaguars are sitting alone at the top of the AFC South, but the upstart Texans are nipping at their heels and beat the Jaguars already earlier in the season, so Jacksonville will be trying to avoid the season sweep. The Jaguars rebounded from their embarrassing loss as their offense seemed to fire on all cylinders against the Tennessee Titans.
The Texans have been one of the hottest teams in the league recently thanks to rookie sensation C.J. Stroud. Rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has been putting up not only impressive stats so far early in his NFL career, but he’s also been putting together impressive film and game-winning drives early on. The Texans look a little bit like the 2022 Jaguars in that regard, where they’re hanging around games and then catching momentum thanks to some clutch defensive plays and impressive throws by their young quarterback.
As it stands, the Jaguars are 1.5-point favorites, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
