Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn’t gunshy about his favorite childhood Super Bowl memory.

Asked about that this week before he plays in Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams, Burrow revealed that his most vivid childhood memory was Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers taking down the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.

“The one that I really remember was when the Cardinals was playing the Steelers,” Burrow said, “and Big Ben made that amazing throw on the back pylon.”

Bengals fans shouldn’t get too high-strung over the memory happening to involve the Steelers, though — he was rooting for the Cardinals right alongside most Bengals fans:

“Kurt Warner was always a family friend. My dad was actually on the Iowa Barnstormers’ staff when Kurt was the quarterback for the Iowa Barnstormers. My family’s known Kurt for a long time, so we were cheering for Kurt in that situation.”

Funnily enough, Burrow has now made history alongside Big Ben and Kurt Warner as three of just six quarterbacks to ever make a Super Bowl in their first two seasons.

Burrow, for what it’s worth, went 2-1 in matchups with Big Ben before the Steelers quarterback retired this offseason.
