Will the Giants add, subtract, or stand still at the deadline?
Follow any and all NFL 2022 trade rumors that impact the New York Giants leading up to the Tuesday, Nov. 1 trade deadline. We will add full stories on anything that is worthwhile.
Tuesday, Nov. 1
The Chicago Bears aren’t done dealing, acquiring WR Chase Claypool from the Pittsburgh Steelers, reportedly for a 2023 second round pick.

Claypool had been a name brought up by fans as a potential target of the Giants to upgrade their own receiving corps.
If you’re hoping the Giants can dump Kenny Golladay on someone, this is why that is almost certainly not happening. https://t.co/Byno8SuPbf

Could the Giants be more likely to acquire defensive line help than a wide receiver? ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan thinks so:
What do the Giants do ahead of the trade deadline on Tuesday? Everyone naturally points to receiver. It’s certainly a need, but the Giants are just as likely to add to their defensive line considering their struggles stopping the run this season. They lacked depth and lost veteran Nick Williams (biceps) on Sunday. A receiver is still possible, but only if it makes sense for the future and doesn’t cost premium draft capital, which is likely the case with Denver’s Jerry Jeudy. General manager Joe Schoen remains realistic about where this 6-2 roster stands.
Valentine’s View: Even before Williams’ injury, the severity of which is unknown, finding some help for the run defense made sense for the Giants. They are 26th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, and 30th in yards allowed per rushing attempt. That has to get fixed if the Giants really want to make a playoff run.

Multiple teams in the mix for #Texans’ WR Brandin Cooks: #Rams, #Vikings, #Giants and the #Packers – as a dark horse – have reached out to Houston, sources tell @theScore.
Cooks, 29, has recorded six 1k-seasons with 49 TDs. I’m told if moved, he only wants to go to a contender.
