Reinforcements are on the way for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys have seen their roster depth tested early and often so far this season. Players like DeMarcus Lawrence, Michael Gallup, and La’el Collins were taken away from the team for various reasons as soon as the season opener was in the book, but the Cowboys also started the season as a whole with a few players on ice.

Dallas carried a handful of notable players and placed them on injured reserve as soon as the 53-man roster was set so that they could eventually activate them for usage this season. The Cowboys are preparing for their final game before the bye this week and on their first day of practice started the clock on two players returning. Rookie cornerback Kelvin Joseph and tight end Sean McKeon were given the designation to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.

This means that the three-week window for both McKeon and Joseph has officially begun which is certainly exciting to see, a bit more for the latter than the former (although McKeon was really impressing in the preseason before he was injured).

Dallas has seen a renaissance of sorts from their rookie players through five games so expectations are going to be high around Kelvin Joseph. Ideally he can come in and help contribute to the overall stellar play that Dallas is seeing from their newbies.
