Titans’ highest-graded defensive players through five games

After taking a look at the Tennessee Titans’ highest-graded players on offense through five weeks, we’re turning our attention to the highest-graded players on defense, per Pro Football Focus.

The Titans have been inconsistent on defense overall, but have seen some standout performances from players like outside linebacker Harold Landry, defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, cornerback Kristian Fulton and safety Kevin Byard.

Byard in particular has been elite, as he’s the highest-graded safety in the NFL. Meanwhile, Landry and Simmons have made a big impact in the pass-rush, with both ranking at or near the top of the league in pressures.

It comes as no surprise that those three, along with Fulton, are among the highest-graded Titans defenders after the first five weeks of the 2021 NFL season, but Byard is the only one to sport a mark in the 80s.
