Now that the Tennessee Titans have their general manager nailed down, the time is coming to make a decision on a new offensive coordinator.

During new general manager Ran Carthon’s press conference on Friday, head coach Mike Vrabel provided an update on the process. He says he’s met with several candidates already, and has been since the season ended.

“I would say the process is going well,” Vrabel said, per Nick Suss of The Tennessean. “I’m excited with the numerous people we’ve been able to meet and interview. The bulk of my time has been doing that since the season’s ended. Nothing really new to report but we have some spots to fill.”

Along with offensive coordinator, the Titans have to find a new offensive line coach after the team parted ways with Keith Carter on the same day Todd Downing was given the boot.

When it comes to his new offensive coordinator, Vrabel explained what he’s looking for, and that’s a leader who can connect with players.

Vrabel did not say exactly how many candidates he’s met with, but reports have that number at three, with the list including the Kansas City Chiefs’ Eric Bieniemy and Matt Nagy, and the Atlanta Falcons’ Charles London.

Tennessee’s passing game coordinator, Tim Kelly, is also expected to be in the running, but no reports have surfaced confirming any interview.
