Myers suffered a knee injury last Sunday in Chicago and will miss at least three games. Meanwhile, David Bakhtiari will remain on the PUP list for at least one more game.

The hits just keep on coming for the Green Bay Packers, who on Saturday placed yet another starter on injured reserve. This time, it is center Josh Myers who heads to the reserve list, which will shut him down for at least three games. With the move coming the day before the Packers’ week seven game against the Washington Football Team, Myers will be first eligible to return in time for the week 10 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.

Myers suffered a knee injury on the fourth offensive snap of last Sunday’s victory over the Chicago Bears. He had just returned to the lineup for that game after missing the prior week’s game with a finger injury. Lucas Patrick replaced him in both contests, playing well against the Bears despite taking no reps with the starters during practice that week.

Green Bay now has four starters on injured reserve, with Myers joining cornerback Jaire Alexander, outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith, and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The Packers also have left tackle David Bakhtiari on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and because the team did not activate him on Saturday, he will not be eligible to play against Washington tomorrow.

With Myers down and tackle Dennis Kelly ruled out with an illness, the Packers have activated offensive lineman Ben Braden off the practice squad for Sunday’s game against Washington. Braden’s activation is officially listed as an emergency COVID replacement, as wide receiver Malik Taylor remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list for another week. That means that this game will not count as one of Braden’s two allowed standard activations before the team would need to promote him to the 53-man roster.

Braden is the Packers’ only activation this week, as the team will head into this game without an extra wide receiver to take Taylor’s place on special teams. Last week, the Packers brought Juwann Winfree up to the gameday roster to help fill in for those reps. However, with Winfree remaining on the practice squad this week, that will likely leave gunner reps to the likes of Equanimeous St. Brown and Shemar Jean-Charles in week seven.

Stay tuned for the full list of inactive players for this week’s game about 90 minutes prior to kickoff on Sunday.
