We already know Carolina Panthers fans are excited over the hire of new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown. But how are the Carolina Panthers players feeling right about now?

Let’s check in with guard Austin Corbett and punter Johnny Hekker—both of whom shared a sideline and a Super Bowl victory with the 36-year-old coach:

Brown spent the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams—serving as a running backs coach, assistant head coach and tight ends coach from 2020 to 2022. That’s when, between the 2020 and 2021 campaigns, he’d cross paths with Corbett and Hekker.

That 2021 season saw the Rams capture the Lombardi Trophy in their Super Bowl LVI victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Corbett and Hekker then, of course, moved on to Carolina that offseason—signing a pair of multi-year deals with the Panthers in the spring.

But now, they’re all back together and, obviously, pretty excited for what’s to come.
