Ravens sign tight end Mark Andrews to 4-year extension

Baltimore locks up their top pass catcher through the 2025 season.

The Baltimore Ravens gave their Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews the best birthday present a young NFL player could ask for. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Andrews signed a four-year contract worth $56 million.

After establishing himself as one of the best overall pass catchers at the position, Andrews will now be paid accordingly. His average annual salary slots him behind only tight ends Travis Kelce and George Kittle, while slightly ahead of former Raven and current Las Vegas Raider Darren Waller.

Andrews showed some flashes as a rookie but broke out in his second season with his first Pro Bowl season in 2019 where he recorded career highs across the board. His 64 receptions, 852 receiving yards and 98 target led Ravens. His 10 receiving touchdowns not only led the team but it led all tight ends and tied for the second most in the league that year.

This extension makes him the first member of the Ravens 2018 draft class, Ozzie Newsome’s last as General Manager, to receive a new deal.

Other standouts from the class besides Andrews and Lamar Jackson include offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., tight end Hayden Hurst, cornerback Anthony Averett, safety DeShon Elliott and center Bradley Bozeman.
