The Baltimore Ravens will kick off their three game 2021 preseason slate on August 14th against the New Orleans Saints. However, Baltimore announced news pertaining to the days before their game against the Carolina Panthers on August 21st.

The Ravens officially revealed that they will have two joint practices with Carolina in the days leading up to their preseason bout. The practices will take place on August 18th and August 19th at Wofford College in South Carolina. Head coach John Harbaugh said that he believes joint practices are “beneficial for the team”.

“Joint practices have always been beneficial for our team…We appreciate the Panthers hosting us this year, and we look forward to getting in two days of quality work.”

Joint practices provide the opportunity for players to go up against other teams and see how they do against opponents who haven’t seen what they’re doing day in and day out. They tend to be a little more intense than regular practices, but are extremely rewarding.

Baltimore has been a part of many joint practices in the past, participating with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles in 2019, the Los Angeles Rams and Indianapolis Colts in 2018 and even more dating back years.
