With both fourth rounders signing the dotted line today, Ifeatu Melifonwu is the only unsigned Lions’ rookie.

Earlier Thursday morning the Detroit Lions announced they had signed second-round pick Levi Onwuzurike, but according to social media, he wasn’t the only rookie to sign a deal with the team.

Both the Lions’ fourth-round picks Amon-Ra St. Brown and Derrick Barnes had pictures of them signing their contracts posted to Instagram and they were Tweeted by members of the Lions media (Jeremy Reisman via the POD account and The Athletic’s Chris Burke respectively).

According to OverTheCap’s estimated rookie contracts, St. Brown (pick No. 112) and Barnes (pick No. 113) are should have four-year deals worth just under $4.3 million each. St. Brown’s 2021 cap number is expected to be close to $856,315, while Barnes is projected at $855,302 per OTC.

St. Brown and Barnes join Penei Sewell, Onwuzurike, Alim McNeill, Jermar Jefferson as Lions’ rookies under contract. That leaves third-round pick Ifeatu Melifonwu as the only player on Detroit’s 89-man roster not officially under contract.

Thursday marked the final day of Lions OTAs. It appears the organization is trying to push through their last few bits of paperwork before players take an extended break leading up to training camp in late July.
