Houston Texans linebacker Garret Wallow continues to rehabilitate from his ankle surgery he underwent shortly after the conclusion of the 2022 regular season.

Wallow was at the Boys & Girls Club — Havard Club in Houston along with defensive lineman Thomas Booker, Texans Cheerleaders, and TORO for Random Acts of Kindness Day and gave an update on his rehabilitation following what he described as a “clean up” procedure.

“Yeah, absolutely, just taking it day by day, rehabbing hard with the Texans training staff,” Wallow said via Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV. “They know what they’re doing. So, just go in there and give 110% with them and try to get back full speed as quick as possible.”

Wallow finished with 13 combined tackles, a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup through 13 games, three of which he started. The former 2021 fifth-rounder from TCU played 124 defensive snaps compared to 185 special teams snaps.

The 6-2, 230-pounder is confident he will be ready for training camp, but isn’t so sure about the team’s offseason workouts, which begin in April.

“I’m not sure about offseason [workouts],” said Wallow. “I think the plan right now is to keep rehabbing, but see how fast I rehab and just making sure that I put my body in the best position to be back 100% and be back ready to go. Whatever that looks like, I say I put my trust in the training staff to get to that point.”
