The roster churning continues.

The Tennessee Titans continue to make changes to the bottom half of their roster. All three of these moves are unfortunately health related. Firstly, the team waived veteran fullback/tight end Donnie Ernsberger, per Broadway Sports’ John Glennon.

Ernsberger was signed by the Titans just a few days ago, on August 5th to be exact. He left Monday’s practice with an injury and this time of year, availability is your most important ability. Ernsberger broke into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2018. After spending time on their practice squad, Ernsberger was promoted to their active roster in December of 2018. He was released by the Bucs in July of 2019, and would go on to spend training camp with the Jaguars just a few months later. He’ll now look to get healthy and land elsewhere.

In addition to Ernsberger, cornerback Greg Mabin and offensive lineman Spencer Pulley were officially released with injury settlements, per Aaron Wilson. Both Mabin and Pulley were placed on injured reserve on August 5th.

Pulley is a veteran that has started 26 career NFL games. Pulley played his college football at Vanderbilt. This could have been a nice homecoming for him, but injury will prevent that from happening. Pulley originally broke into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers back in 2016. He would go on to spend the last three seasons with the New York Giants. In 2019, he signed a three-year, $9.6 million contract extension with the Giants. He certainly has a chance to land elsewhere if he can get healthy.

Mabin is a veteran cornerback that has been an on again, off again member of the team since September of 2020.

These moves open up a few spots on the Titans’ roster. We expect a few signings to be announced in the coming days.
