As we thought, three Kansas City players are out against the Eagles.

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s Week 4 game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. As expected, defensive end Frank Clark (hamstring) — along with cornerbacks Charvarius Ward (quad) and Rashad Fenton (concussion) — will not suit up for Sunday’s game.

Fenton had been listed as out in Friday’s final injury report for the game. In that report, both Clark and Ward were listed as questionable — but on Saturday, both were downgraded to out. This is the third game of the season that Clark will miss with a hamstring injury. Ward’s quad injury has now kept him out of two games.

Also on Saturday, the Chiefs elevated rookie cornerback Dicaprio Bootle from the practice squad to the active roster. He will suit up for Sunday’s game — but as an elevated player, he will automatically be returned to the practice squad when it is over.

Early in the week, the Chiefs chose to protect both Bootle and fourth-year defensive end Demone Harris on the practice squad roster, preventing either from being signed to another team’s active roster before Sunday’s game. Harris’ protection appeared to be a hedge against defensive end Chris Jones (wrist) being unavailable for the Eagles — Jones had been limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday — but Jones was a full participant in Friday’s practice and will suit up in Philadelphia.

Along with Bootle, cornerback Deandre Baker — who was inactive for the games against the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens — will again play on Sunday.

Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (groin) was limited in Wednesday’s practice, but practiced fully on Thursday and Friday. He is also active for the game.

The rest of Kansas City’s inactive players should be considered healthy scratches.

The Eagles have also released their list of inactive players. As expected, left tackle Jordan Mailata (knee) will not play against Kansas City. Neither will tackle Lane Johnson (ankle).

On Friday, Mailata had been declared out for Sunday’s game. Johnson had appeared on the injury report this week, but was practicing fully on Thursday and Friday. He did not have an injury designation for Sunday’s game — but a report said that his absence on Sunday is not due to injury.

No other Eagles players were given injury designations in Friday’s final report. Center Jason Kelce (foot), guard Landon Dickerson (hip) and safety Marcus Epps (shoulder) were all limited participants during Wednesday’s practice while practicing fully on both Thursday and Friday.
