Week 8 AP NFL Power Rankings: An all-NFC top 5

The Arrowhead Pride team ranks the league from top to bottom.

Week 7 was the week of acceptance in the NFL.

Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs have to accept that our team is no longer the juggernaut it once was. The Baltimore Ravens will have to accept that the Cincinnati Bengals are now a big player in the AFC North. And finally, the New York Jets will have to accept that they will never beat the New England Patriots.

They say that acceptance is the first stage of recovery. The Chiefs will be hoping this is the case going forward.

This week’s voters were Pete Sweeney, Ron Kopp, Matt Stagner, Jared Sapp, Stephen Serda, Rocky Magana, Talon Graff, Ethan Willinger, and myself.

1. Arizona Cardinals (1st)

By far and away the best team in football right now.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3rd)

That fan should have held that ball hostage.

3. Dallas Cowboys (4th)

Dreading them coming to Arrowhead in a few weeks’ time.

4. Los Angeles Rams (5th)

Dan Campbell threw everything at them, yet they still come out victorious.

5. Green Bay Packers (7th)

Back into the top five for the first time in a few weeks — let’s hope there isn’t a mass COVID outbreak in the coming weeks.

6. Buffalo Bills (2nd)

It will be interesting how they bounce back after their bye.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (10th)

Joe Burrow-to-Ja’mar Chase is a combo we will be talking about for years to come. What a win.

8. Los Angeles Chargers (8th)

Extended their advantage over the Chiefs without playing a snap.

9. Baltimore Ravens (6th)

Who saw that beatdown coming?

10. Tennessee Titans (12th)

Two statements win back-to-back. Welcome to the top 10.

11. Las Vegas Raiders (15th)

Maybe the Raiders are just a good football team after all?

12. Cleveland Browns (11th)

Are the Browns proving that running backs don’t matter?

13. Minnesota Vikings (13th)

Stay where they were after the bye.

14. New Orleans Saints (14th)

Their defense will be the reason they have any success this year

15. Kansas City Chiefs (9th)

This season wasn’t meant to pan out like this. What is happening?

No game this week. Still in the hunt.

54 points! Bill Belichick hates the Jets.

Looking better and better as the season goes on.
