In the aftermath of the loss to the Baltimore Ravens for the Cincinnati Bengals, little else mattered than the immediate Joe Burrow injury update.
And Bengals head coach Zac Taylor provided one, telling reporters in the postgame presser that it looks like Burrow “sprained his wrist” during the game, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic.
It was impossible to say how severe the injury was considering Burrow aggravated it on a touchdown pass and was eventually ruled out. But the usually-secretive Taylor being this open about it might just be a good sign.
The Bengals have a mini-bye week after playing a Thursday night game, so the next week and a half will be key to whether Burrow can get back soon. If not, Jake Browning will get the start against the Steelers on November 26.
