The lone positive out of Thursday’s 17-14 loss to the Cleveland Browns is fans have the rest of their week. So yeah Thursday Night Football?

Javonte Williams

The Broncos rookie running back scored his first receiving touchdown in the NFL. One of the huge positives is that Pookie is the real deal. Too bad the team around him is not.

Brandon McManus

Denver’s kicker is still perfect on the season after making both of his extra points. Yes, that’s where we are right now. Too bad it doesn’t matter.

This summer, “Good Morning Football” host Kyle Brandt said something prophetic about the Broncos.

“I don’t know what this team is. I don’t know what this organization is. I don’t know if there is a team we talk about less often on this show than the Denver Broncos. That includes smaller markets, teams that haven’t won. What was their record last year? Who cares. What was their record before that? Who cares. … We’ve been waiting. We’ve been waiting for this team to be relevant again for five years. Something needs to punctuate the dreariness in Denver. They are not just bad, they don’t matter. They don’t move the needle in any way.”

After Thursday’s embarrassing loss to the Browns, no truer words have been spoken about the Broncos … even if they were from this summer. Until there is a new owner and leadership at the top, it won’t matter if Vic Fangio or Pat Shurmur is fired. This rank failure goes above coaching. This is from the top down and is now the norm.
