Wide receiver remains one of the bigger needs for the Colts in the upcoming draft. The good news is that they should have plenty of opportunities to add to that position group.

With Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs, the Colts have a strong foundation at the position. However, what they could use more of his playmaking on offense. Although both Pittman and Downs are dependable, they averaged just 10.6 and 11.3 yards per catch, respectively, last season.

Of course, having Anthony Richardson back under center will help bolster the passing game and add more big-play opportunities, but GM Chris Ballard should be proactive and find an additional wide receiver presence in what is a loaded draft class, to not only add more juice to the offense, but to bolster the overall depth of this unit, which could use some work as well.

PFF recently graded each position group in this year’s draft, taking into account the top-end talent and overall depth. The receiver position received the highest grade. Of the top-100 players on PFF’s big board, nearly 25 of them are wide receivers.

Like I said, the Colts will have options, but let’s take a look at 10 prospects in particular who could be ideal fits. I also want to note that I did not include Marvin Harrison, Rome Odunze, or Malik Nabers because they will be long gone before the Colts are on the clock at pick 15.
