The cyclical nature of the NFL is what separates it from other professional sports. Each year, different teams rise from the ashes of mediocrity and become the talk of the league. The Houston Texans’ 2023 draft class changed the entire outlook of their franchise in just a few months.
Over in the NFC, the Detroit Lions made it to the Conference Championship largely due to their impressive 2023 draft haul. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons are stuck in a cycle of 7-10. The team holds the No. 8 pick in the draft for a third consecutive year.
The Falcons drafted wide receiver Drake London in 2022 and then took running back Bijan Robinson eighth overall in 2023. Since the 2024 NFL draft is just a few weeks away, let’s check out every player drafted with the No. 8 pick since 2000:
