We are a few weeks away from the 2024 NFL draft. We’ve been hard at work projecting what the Chargers will do with the No. 5 overall pick, but who do the oddsmaker think will be selected in that spot?

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers is the current favorite at +225 (bet $100 to win $225).

Behind Nabers is Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (+275), followed by Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy (+275) and Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt (+500).

Remember that this prop is for who will be the fifth overall pick, which could include a team trading up for a quarterback, which is why McCarthy is tied for the second-best odds.

Los Angeles has been commonly pegged as a trade target for a team like the Vikings, who have been linked to McCarthy.

But that aside, Nabers stands above the rest. The Bolts need to address the wide receiver position after the departures of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Nabers would be a solid addition to the offense.

It’s worth noting that Harrison is heavily favored to be the No. 4 overall pick at -175, indicating that they believe the Cardinals are going to stand pat and select the former Buckeye.
