The 49ers’ offense has been a topic of much discussion following consecutive weeks of less-than-stellar performances, but as the dust settles the fact remains San Francisco has scored the ninth-most points in the NFL through three weeks. While it’s not necessarily a surprise to see a Kyle Shanahan offense in the top 10 in scoring, it is fascinating how they’ve managed to get there.

Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle posted on Twitter that the 49ers have 11 touchdowns through three weeks, and they’ve gotten those 11 scores from 11 different players. San Francisco is the first team since 1970 to accomplish that feat.

Perhaps even more surprising is that tight end George Kittle has accounted for zero of those touchdowns.

11 different players scoring all 11 49ers touchdowns this season can either be a good or a bad thing.

It points in part to depth. They have a ton of different players capable of finding the end zone, which is better than needing to rely on only one or two players. Defenses truly have to account for every eligible player on the field when the 49ers line up.

On the other hand, not having a go-to player can come back to bite a team. It’s still only three weeks in so there’s a chance someone like Deebo Samuel or Kittle emerges as a go-to player when San Francisco needs a touchdown.

Here are the 11 touchdown scorers for the 49ers this season:
