49ers cornerback Emmanuel Moseley was out on the field two and a half hours early working out. When a player is out that early, it is usually an indication that they’re not playing.

NBC Sports’ Matt Maiocco said on KNBR Sunday morning that newly signed cornerback Josh Norman would start opposite Deommodore Lenoir. What are your expectations for the starting cornerbacks today?

For Norman, it’s a toss-up. Both cornerbacks will be tested by the Eagles’ speed at wide receiver between DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, and Quez Watkins.

Contrary to Moseley, Javon Kinlaw went through pre-game warmups with his teammates. Both he and Arik Armstead were listed as questionable but participated in warmups. Generally speaking, if you go through the second warmups, you’ll play.

Here’s a look at today’s inactives:

CB Emmanuel Moseley

G Aaron Banks

CB Ambry Thomas

DL Zach Kerr

Trey Sermon will play. I expect there to be plenty of surprises today, but the least surprising thing would be for Kyle Shanahan to start Sermon and Brandon Aiyuk and for both players to have a big day.

No, Ambry Thomas means Trent Cannon is active, and he should be the kick returner today. That means Banks and Thomas are healthy scratches.

It’s the other side of the ball that I’m a little worried about. Kinlaw’s first game back. Breaking in a new cornerback and linebacker. A mobile quarterback. Speed on the outside. Plus, an excellent offensive line.

Today’s game will be entertaining if anything.
