We heard some interesting things inside SoFi Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs collected a 13-12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Here’s some of what Tom Ruprecht overheard at SoFi Stadium.
- “If Andy Reid gives the wide receivers the day off, how will we be able to tell?”
- “The Chiefs scouted the Chargers for a solid week, but were never able to determine the name of their interim coach.”
- “The Chargers’ job is very attractive to head coaching candidates who don’t want to work deep into January.”
- “Wow… over the last six weeks, it seems like a lot of teams seem to have installed that evil Super Bowl turf that mysteriously affects only the Eagles.”
- “Imagine being a quarterback — and knowing that Chris Jones gets an extra million dollars if he crushes you.”
- “There was a moment — when Harrison Butker lined up for the potential game-winning field goal — that the tension rivaled that of a preseason game.”
- “Isn’t it interesting that after struggling with Patrick Mahomes all season, the offense suddenly explodes for six points when he doesn’t play?”
- “In one play, Mike Edwards put up as many points as Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Skyy Moore did all season.”
- “Okay… good team win! But now we’ve got a short week to prepare for the Miami Dolphins’ offense — and teach our parents how to sign up for Peacock.”
