At this point, it’s no secret Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is pretty vocal about his political views. It’s now gotten him at least a potential look to hold one of the highest offices in the United States.

Per the New York Times, Rodgers, along with former Minnesota governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura, is a candidate to be the running for potential, yet long shot presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.

The Times notes it is not clear if either Rodgers or Ventura have been formally offered the post and that Kennedy is still considering a shortlist of potential candidates.

Rodgers has been talking “pretty continuously” with Kennedy for the past month. Kennedy is expected to name his running mate in the next few weeks. Kennedy is running as an independent candidate after initially declaring as a Democrat.

If Rodgers is chosen, it would mean starting as quarterback in the biggest market in the United States while being in a key political race. Again, it’s a longshot with Kennedy as an independent candidate, but the fact that Aaron Rodgers could be a potential vice president is certainly something.
