The Atlanta Falcons filled their final two practice squad vacancies on Wednesday, signing running back Jacob Saylors and safety Arnold Tarpley III, per team reporter Terrin Waack.
Saylors was an undrafted free agent out of East Tennessee State who originally signed with the Bengals in May. As for Tarpley, he played for the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers in 2023, recording three interceptions.

The Pittsburgh Maulers featured an elite defense in the #USFL, largely due to the efforts of Tarpley (43 tackles, three INT’s), who had an All-USFL campaign in 2023.

With the Falcons signing safety Micah Abernathy to the 53-man roster on Wednesday, Tarpley is a quality replacement. Abernathy replaces Jaylinn Hawkins, who the team released on Tuesday.
Atlanta also lost practice squad offensive tackle Josh Miles after the veteran was poached by the New York Giants on Tuesday.
