Falcons sign RB Godwin Igwebuike, waive DL Joe Gaziano

The Falcons have signed running back Godwin Igwebuike to their 53-man roster and waived defensive lineman Joe Gaziano, the team announced Saturday afternoon.

Igwebuike rushed 31 times for 135 rushing yards and a touchdown in the preseason. He appeared to put himself in a good position to make the team’s initial 53-man roster, but he just missed the cut and landed on the practice squad.

Gaziano was one of many defensive line additions that Atlanta made over the offseason.

– Elevated Parker Hesse and Natrone Brooks from PS

The team also announced two practice squad elevations, promoting tight end Parker Hesse and defensive back Natrone Brooks to the 53-man roster for Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
