The Atlanta Falcons filled their final practice squad vacancy, signing running back Godwin Igwebuike on Wednesday after releasing him from the 53-man roster on Monday.
Igwebuike was signed off the practice squad ahead of Week 1 to fill in for an injured Cordarrelle Patterson.

The 29-year-old was active for Sunday’s game but did not receive a single carry. Now that Patterson is healthy again, the team didn’t feel the need to carry Igwebuike on the 53-man roster.
In other news, Falcons safety Jessie Bates III won NFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday. Bates recorded two interceptions in Atlanta’s 24-10 win over the Panthers.
