Falcons release full 2021 training camp schedule

It feels like we’ve been waiting forever, but the dates and times are finally here.
The long, long dead zone between organized team activities and training camp isn’t quite over, but it’s getting closer. The Falcons today announced their open training camp dates, meaning you can finally start planning to be there in person for one of the six available days if you’re interested in attending.
Training camp will kick off in late July and fans will be able to attend for the first time on the month’s final day. The open dates and times are are listed below, per the team’s release Unless otherwise specified, they’ll all be on the IBM Performance Field in Flowery Branch, and gates always open one hour prior to the start of practice.
- Saturday, July 31 at 9:30 a.m.
- Sunday, August 1 at 9:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, August 3 at 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, August 4 at 9:30 a.m.
- Thursday, August 5 at 9:30 a.m.
- Saturday, August 7 at 2 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Per the team’s release, anyone heading there for the July 31 practice will get to hear Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot talk about the team, among other bonuses, so it may be worth lining up for your
Fans at the first practice will also have the opportunity to hear from Falcons head coach Arthur Smith and general manager Terry Fontenot with appearances from Atlanta Falcons legends, Freddie Falcon and Falcons cheerleaders. Food trucks and the Falcons official merchandise tent will also be on site. Due to current NFL protocols around COVID-19, there will not be opportunities for player autographs.
Obviously, it’ll be worthwhile to go, as Atlanta has a brand new coaching staff and many new players to get familiar with. You’re not exactly going to learn any big secrets about how this team will function and who is going to be starting by going to camp, but you will get to see how some of the new additions look and get a feel for Smith and his coaching staff’s style.
Tickets can be obtained here—with the exception of the practice at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, they’re free—and you’ll likely want to jump on them soon if you’re planning to attend.
