Sorry for the delay on this one, but better late than never.

The Arizona Cardinals had an uneven defensive effort in Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings, the first half left a lot to be desired, while the second half was nearly perfect.

They have a chance to give us another full effort on Sunday against a bad Jacksonville Jaguars team.

Let’s take a look at the snap counts.

Budda Baker – 61 snaps (100%)
Byron Murphy Jr. – 61 (100%)
Chandler Jones – 61 (100%)
Jordan Hicks – 59 (97%)
Jalen Thompson – 57 (93%)
J.J. Watt – 55 (90%)

Interesting that Jones, Hicks and Watt were on the field so much. Jones didn’t make his normal impact in the pass rush, but he and Watt were good in creating issues in the run game. Hicks seemed a bit… slow this week after an impressive first week.

Isaiah Simmons – 50 (82%)
Robert Alford – 48 (79%)
Markus Golden – 48 (79%)
Zach Allen – 38 (62%)
Antonio Hamilton – 31 (51%)

Golden and Allen didn’t do a whole lot, while Hamilton looked good. I didn’t like the usage of Simmons on the edge so much in the first half. I think it takes away his ability to be an “all over the field” type.

Corey Peters – 26 (43%)
Zaven Collins – 25 (41%)
Rashard Lawrence – 21 (34%)
Marco Wilson – 15 (25%)
Michael Dogbe – 8 (13%)
Leki Fotu – 3 (5%)
Kylie Fitts – 2 (3%)
Deionte Thompson – 1 (2%)

Anything stand out to you?
