For the Arizona Cardinals, they made a surprise move last week in releasing Lamont Gaillard, today they filled that void with a different young interior offensive lineman.

From the team:

Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed offensive lineman Marcus Henry to a one-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Henry (6-2, 303) played in one game last season with Dallas after spending the season on the Cowboys practice squad. He originally entered the league with New Orleans as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016 out of Boise State. The 28-year old Henry has also spent time on the practice squads of the Seahawks and Texans during his career. While at Boise State, Henry played in 50 games at center and was a first-team All-Mountain West selection as a junior and senior.

It feels like Henry may be a placeholder for training camp, while Gaillard gets a chance to make a roster, but I guess we will see.

What do you think?
