The Arizona Cardinals are officially done with the preseason in 2021.

After only two games, the team will prepare for the regular season opener against the Tennessee Titans without finishing things off in the preseason.

The NFL announced earlier today that the Arizona Cardinals preseason game against the New Orleans Saints will be moved from 5:00 p.m. Arizona time to 10:00 a.m. Arizona time due to Tropical Storm Ida, but as of 2:36 p.m. this afternoon, the Saints and Cardinals had decided to cancel things altogether.

“The team encourages all residents of the region to take precautionary measures to remain safe throughout the impending hurricane,” the Saints said in their release.

A hurricane watch and emergency declaration were announced in New Orleans today, meaning it was not in the cards for the Cards.

That is okay, what matters now is the people of Louisiana. Let’s all keep them in our thoughts as Ida heads their way.
