The Chicago Bears have activated left tackle Braxton Jones off injured reserve, the team announced Saturday, making him available for Sunday’s Week 9 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Jones suffered a neck injury in a Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he was placed on IR shortly after. He was designated to return from IR last week ahead of the team’s prime-time matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, but the team didn’t rush him back.

While Jones has been sidelined, former fifth-round pick Larry Borom has been filling in at left tackle. Chicago’s offensive line will get a nice boost with the return of Jones. Although, we’ll have to see if Jones returns to action Sunday or is simply available, which is how we’ve seen Matt Eberflus handle some players as they ramp up from injury.

The Bears announced some other roster moves, including waiving center Doug Kramer and promoting linebacker Micah Baskerville to the active roster for Sunday’s game.
