There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Allen Robinson’s future in Chicago. But one thing that feels certain is that Robinson is once again going to be a big contributor for the Bears in 2021.

Robinson and the Bears haven’t had contract discussions since last September, which prompted Chicago to put the franchise tag on him. The two sides have until July 15 to get a long-term deal done before Robinson plays out the 2021 season under the tag and becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2022.

Naturally, the talk surrounding Robinson has centered around contract talks. But appearing on NFL Total Access, Robinson once again remained mum on potential contract extension talks, where he said that his focus is simply on improving as a player and helping the Bears offense improve in 2021.

“We’ll see,” Robinson said on NFL Total Access. “I think the biggest thing like, again, like I said, just about going out there this year, having fun, making plays, trying to help this team get back into the playoffs. I think that’s the main thing. That’s what I’ve set out during the course of this offseason. Every time I get on the field, into my workouts and things like that, it’s how can I get better? How can I help put this team, how can I help put this offense in a better situation than we were in last year?”

The good news for Bears fans is that Robinson hasn’t threatened to hold out. In fact, he was present at mandatory minicamp last month, and he said that he plans to be at training camp on time later this month.
