The Chicago Bears got off to a solid start against the Las Vegas Raiders, jumping out to a 14-3 halftime lead with undrafted rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent making his first NFL start.

But, as Bears fans have come to know under the Matt Eberflus era, the coaching staff always finds a way to make things more difficult than they have to be.

After the Raiders scored their first points of the game on a field goal, Chicago had an opportunity to answer with a score of their own with 1:47 left in the first half. The Bears offense was steadily moving the ball, and they looked primed for at least a field goal to end the half.

After Bagent connected on a 6-yard completion with receiver Darnell Mooney with 0:53 left, Eberflus elected not to use a timeout and let the clock tick down to 0:26. One play later, Bagent connected with DJ Moore on third-and-7 for a first down. Instead of having a healthy clock to utilize driving for a score, the drive was rushed and ultimately resulted in zero points.

As you can imagine, Bears fans weren’t happy with Eberflus’ poor clock management, something that’s been an issue during his two-year tenure.

Here’s how Twitter reacted:
