WATCH: Bears LB Roquan Smith and RB David Montgomery mic’d up during minicamp

The Chicago Bears wrapped minicamp a couple of weeks ago, which marked the conclusion of their offseason program. Now, the wait is down to just four weeks before the Bears report to training camp at Halas Hall on July 27.

While the pads won’t come on until training camp, OTAs and minicamp provided our first look at this Bears roster heading into 2021. Two of the leaders on the team are linebacker Roquan Smith and running back David Montgomery, both of whom are coming off impressive seasons.

Both Smith and Montgomery were mic’d up during minicamp practice, which made for some interesting moments. Most notable was Montgomery’s conversation with head coach Matt Nagy about being disrespected in preseason running back rankings. Montgomery had a message for his haters: “I’m gonna make y’all pay.”
